Bessie Cheng is a Chinese-Canadian actor and writer based in Toronto.

A lover of many things: A good story. Food with bold flavours. Her two ginger cats.

Her acting work has been featured on networks such as Amazon Prime, CBS, CBC, CW, HBO Max independently at film festivals, and on Youtube with over 9 million views.

Bessie was the recipient of the Ellen Ross Stuart Award from the Ontario Arts Foundation for her writing, and was shortlisted for the RBC Emerging Playwright's Award at Playwright's Guild of Canada.

Bessie is a member of Silk Bath Collective, a theatre trio between herself, Aaron Jan and Gloria Mok. They are gearing up to tour their latest show, Woking Phoenix, in 2027 across Canada.
